76ers Basketball Camps are hiring motivated leaders with prior basketball coaching experience who believe in our mission, build positive relationships and ensure the well-being of our campers.

Position Scope Factors

What will you do (in addition to having fun with your campers and fellow team members)? A Director/Assistant Director is responsible for:

  • Supervising campers [ages five (5) to fourteen (14)]
  • Actively participating in all camp activities
  • Providing a safe and fun learning environment and serving as a positive role model Follow the 76ers
  • Basketball Camp Program Curriculum
  • Assisting GM with the hiring of the camp staff

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to deliver basketball programming and instruction based on the 76ers Camps Program Curriculum
  • Perform group supervision of campers with attention to behavior and group management, health and safety, security and skill development
  • Manage and develop team members; administer end of summer staff evaluations
  • Monitor the organization, supervision, and administration of all basketball activities
  • Ensure the safety and security of all campers and team members
  • Run morning briefings daily with team
  • Coordinate and communicate daily schedules with campers and staff
  • Oversee morning and afternoon extended day activities
  • Interface with camp parents/guardians through written and verbal communication
  • Attend all pre-camp meetings and trainings
  • Complete paperwork as assigned
  • Exhibit 76ers Basketball Camp core values at all times and to adhere to all company policies
  • Have fun!
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in a basketball supervisory capacity
  • Prior staff supervision experience
  • Performance management and facilitation experience
  • Five (5) or more years of basketball camp experience
  • Previous basketball camp director experience is preferred
  • Prior experience coaching high school or college basketball is preferred

Certification Requirements

  • Teaching certification preferred
  • First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Concussion Training preferred

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports directly to the 76ers Camps General Manager
